The controversy surrounding the alleged “fake agency” has escalated as Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, moves to take legal action against Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi.

Through his lawyers, Gbajabiamila described the allegations made against him as false, malicious and defamatory, insisting he has never met or had any dealings with Adeyemi. He has given Adeyemi 72 hours to withdraw the claims, delete all related publications and videos, issue a public apology, or face both criminal defamation proceedings and a ₦10 billion civil lawsuit.

On the other hand, Adeyemi maintains that the agency in question appeared in the 2026 Appropriation Act, while the Presidency insists the agency does not exist. Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has also called for an independent investigation into the matter.

Adeyemi is scheduled to appear in court on July 27, 2026.
