Police Arrest 10 Suspects Over Killing of Benue MACBAN Chairman

The Benue State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects in connection with the killing of the Benue State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Ardo Risku Muhammad, and another victim, Yakubu Isa.
The victims were reportedly attacked and killed while returning from a peace meeting, an incident that sparked widespread concern across Benue State.
According to the police, the suspects arrested in connection with the case are Titus Thyodenda (25), Utibe Sam (20), Owoicho Ameh (18), Sunday Useni (21), Sunday Ogbanje (46), Daniel Raphael (23), Orduen Hemba (19), Terwase Uji (32), Jacob Akase (28), and Moses Utoo (30).
The command said investigations into the killings are ongoing and assured that anyone found culpable will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
The arrest comes only days after the tragic attack, which drew condemnation from residents and stakeholders, particularly because the victims were reportedly returning from a meeting aimed at fostering peace and improving security in the state.
Police authorities have reiterated their commitment to ensuring justice is served and urged members of the public to remain calm while the investigation continues.
