Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, on Monday paid a working visit to the Azikel Group Base and the Azikel Refinery in Gbarain, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, to assess project progress and motivate the workforce.
Jonathan was received by the Group President, Dr. Eruani Azibapu, who conducted him and his entourage around the refinery’s ISBL base unit, now 90% complete.
The former president expressed satisfaction with the level of work done and also inspected newly acquired helicopters intended for project supervision and guest transportation to the refinery site.

Dr. Eruani assured Jonathan that the refinery, once completed, would play a vital role in boosting Nigeria’s energy supply, beginning with Bayelsa State.
