President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said Nigeria’s youthful population is becoming increasingly demanding and will no longer tolerate excuses from political leaders.
Tinubu stated that politicians must prepare young people for the future or risk being voted out of office.
“We have a very dynamic youthful population, restless and not ready to take excuses. As a politician, if I don’t prepare them for that, they will vote me out,” the president said.
The Nigerian leader stressed the need for governance that focuses on opportunities, development, and empowerment for young people, noting that the country’s large youth population remains a major force in shaping political outcomes.
His remarks come amid growing calls for improved economic conditions, job creation, and better leadership accountability across the country.
